Emera To Takeover Maine & Maritimes

Maine & Maritimes (MAM), the parent company of Maine Public Service Company, a regulated electric transmission and distribution utility, has entered into a merger agreement with BHE Holdings of Bangor, Maine (BHE), a subsidiary of energy and services company Emera. As per the terms of the agreement, all outstanding shares of MAM common stock will be purchased for $45per share in cash and MAM will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera.
